They changed our without notice. Supposed to save us money by not having to pay for meter reader, still waiting for savings.

My utility co did the same thing, but since they never sent meter readers when we had a dumb meter (but made pretend they did and charged us whatever the hell they wanted to), I am actually saving 50-75 bucks a month due to being charged for my actual usage.
Bastards had been ripping me off for years.

They could have done the same thing with a smart phone app that takes a picture, emails it to the power company, the computer reads the image, tells you if it got it, and then sends you the bill to your phone or computer email.
