'The family of one of the Woolwich murder suspects has apologised over the killing of Drummer Lee Rigby.
In a statement, relatives of 28-year-old Michael Adebolajo expressed their "profound shame and distress" over the "senseless killing" and sent their "heartfelt condolences" to the soldier's family.
They added there was no place for violence in the name of religion.'

Remember the family itself is Christian.
Used to be Christian.
Now it’s Christian and something not so Christian..., Islam.

Greetings Scotsman. Like many on this forum, I consider Islam to be much more than a religion. I regard it as the mortal enemy of Western civilization, and that it has been for nearly fourteen centuries. I’m also reluctant to accept the gesture of that animals family as anything but the ‘public face’ of Islam...the mask it shows Dar Al Harb. I will never trust one of them, or regard any of them as my countryman.
That's my understanding as well.Unless there's something about the family that we don't know we can't blame them for one its members turning into a knuckledragging beast.

Correct. Unless other information come forward that we don’t know about we ought to accept the family’s statement at face value. It is entirely possible that the sentiments in the statement are heartfelt although it easy to be cynical. Let’s have an open mind regarding forgiveness, although consequences are still warranted.
I once read a comment on the subject that made a lot of sense to me...it went something like "Communism is a religion that masquerades as a political system whereas islam is a political system that masquerades as a religion".
Why do you think they think their apology pushes everything under the rug? If someone in my family murdered someone, I believe our family would at least issue an apology, even though it changes nothing... I am not saying you are wrong, I am just wondering because I know nothing about the murderers’ families...

Violence and hatred is exactly what ISLAM is, period.
I know most Muslim’s on this planet don’t know their “faith” any more than most Christians do... so no not all Muslim’s are violent sociopaths, however those that are devout and actually study their “religion” all to well know that it is founded on violence.

Interesting. Although I totally agree that Islam is a political global arm, I had never looked at Communism from the angle of being like a religion. Do you base that idea on the fanaticism of commies? Thanks.
