Amen. Let’s rip out the internal revenue code and replace it with a simple and fair flat tax.

No, let's repeal the 16th and make income taxes unconstitutional again, as they were in the beginning. Tariffs and a national sales tax are the only fair way to tax. A flat tax will eventually lead back to what we have now. The income tax we have now started as a flat tax, look where it ended up.

Income taxes are evil. Do away with the 16th, pare down the IRS until it is nothing more than a few offices collecting sales taxes and tariffs. No more power over individuals, no more violating the constitution by confiscating people's wealth without a trial and finding people guilty without a trial also. Down with the 16th(and get rid of the 17th also)>

The author seems to focus so much on proving his non top down theory that he misses the obvious reality which entails community organizing 101. The top defines the general goal and provides access and communications structure. This was a most likely self coordinated effort that was comprised of many groups including those at the IRS. This is obviously evident when one considers the intelligence gathering, cataloging and dissemination of information to the right people to act upon it that were involved in the SPECIFICALLY targeted questionnaires and followups sent out. As well, this was more than simply a one time coordinated effort to gag conservative free speech -they collected information and that information was fed back into the group for future use.
