Nutty British star Russell Brand took to the pages of The Sun today to pretend that there is no relationship between radical Islam and the murder of British soldier Lee Rigby by Islamists in Woolwich. Brand tweeted within hours of the murder, “That bloke is a nut. A nut who happens to be Muslim. Blaming Muslims for this is like blaming Hitler’s moustache for the Holocaust.” Actually, Russell, it isn’t. Blaming Islamism for what happened to Lee Rigby is sort of like blaming Nazism for the Holocaust. In other words, it’s accurate. But Brand believes that only the insane take murderous action. “In spite of his dispassionate intoning the subject is not rational,” licensed psychiatrist Brand wrote in The Sun. “Of course he’s not rational, he’s just murdered a stranger in the street, he says, because of a book. In my view that man’s severely mentally ill and has found a convenient conduit for his insanity – in this case the Koran.” Brand actually compared the Islamist murderers to John Lennon’s murderer, Mark Chapman, who said he was inspired by The Catcher in the Rye. Neither book, said Brand, could be linked with murder. “I’ve read that book and I’ve read some of the Koran, and nothing in either of them has compelled me to do violence,” wrote Brand. Except, of course, that there isn’t an entire movement of would-be murderers and murder-sympathizers who claim their authority from Salinger. There are millions of such would-be murderers and murder supporters around the globe who claim authority from the Koran. Then he compared Islamists to Christians who are anti-homosexuality. Because of that vast spate of bombings and beheadings at gay clubs by Bible thumpers.

Russell Brand makes Ashton Kutcher seem like a genius.
I almost look forward to the coming war between the Muslims and Left versus the Right. Do these celebrities, bureaucrats and other elites really think they’ll be safe in their little enclaves, compounds, estates and urban areas? That the conflict will never touch them? That the Muslims won’t kill them?

First, they never think that far. All they want is a photo op or a chance to give people on the right the finger.
Secondly many in the media and academia are so twisted in their hatred for traditional western culture that they just want it destroyed by anyone who can. The Soviet Union is gone so that leaves the Muslims as the only possible agent of destruction (well the Chinese are really the big problem but no one wants to connect those dots)
Well a smart terrorist would go after them FIRST...thus inflicting terror on their adoring mind numbed fans.
They might wanna think about that little detail.

Brand needs to go to Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan or Pakistan and get drunk in public, or get caught with drugs, or be high in public. Then I’ll listen to his views on whether Islam causes people to be violent. If he’s alive, that is.
This man is an educated professional? Does he understand nothing about faith/believing? Obviously the only thing he has faith in is himself and his Psychology - that is why he acts the way he does = where did he get that from? - probably a book - so I declare Russell Brand insane!

Why do people in the “entertainment” business all think they are qualified to state their opinions on world events, and that we should listen? Just judging by Russell Brand’s disheveled, street person appearance alone, I would cross the street if I saw him coming. The only way to deal with jihadists is “live by the sword, die by the sword” and if the authorities won’t take care of the problem, I predict the general public will do it for them.
