Whittaker Chambers has been vindicated.

His book Witness (1952) is a must read for anyone who wants to know the truth about Soviet penetration of DC in the 1930s and who Alger Hiss really was.

I read recently that Kruschev's comment "We will bury you" was actually mistranslated. In Russian, he said: "We will be there at your funeral".

And he seems to be correct.

And apparently 52% of Americans just can't wait for their own "funerals".

True.

Whittaker Chambers and Elizabeth Bentley been American spies for the Soviet Union. Both defected from the Communist Party and it was their testimony that exposed the depth of Soviet penetration of the US government.

Senator Joe McCarthy later capitalized on their revelations but it was really Chambers and Bentley who exposed the network of soviet spies working in the US.
