I sure hope thus is for real and not satire. Texas’ new slogan - the last Common Sense State.
To: Coleus
It’s good to know sane places like Texas exist.

We all know that it’s not really that they’re offended as much as its athiests getting to slap Christians in the face with an attorney present because they weren’t loved by Godly parents.
To: Coleus
The only entity besides Christian churches and Russell Peters to call it Christmas.

However, Linda Bridges, president of the Texas branch of the American Federation of Teachers, which opposed the bill, questioned the importance of the legislation. If it is so unimportant, why are you spending time on it, you hypocritical azz?!

On the one hand, good for Texas...but on the other, has it really come to this in America?

Shouldn’t it be the “Feliz Navidad” bill?

This is a good partial antidote to “The Curse of Obamanation.”

I had a friend and colleague who is an Orthodox Jew who would wish the Christians in the office Merry Christmas, I suspect in part to tweak the PC leftards.

And I have no doubt the irony is completely lost on this simple scumbag.
To: Coleus
Maybe Texas will pass a law outlawing the teachers unions.

Good on your friend!
I’m proud of Texas; glad the legislators have stood up and said “thus far and no farther”.
:D
(We refer to the holiday by its proper name (Easter, Christmas, etc) and say “merry Christmas” at tbe branch of my company that is here in texas; the branch of it in one of the blue states doesn’t do that..... im glad I’m not THERE)

Not satire; I downloaded it and it is on the state web site.
It IS true that companies discourage people from referring to the holiday by its proper name, and wishing people “merry christmas”.
I work for one of those firms and it always galled me....
till I moved to Texas and started at the branch of the same company here.....
everybody refers to christmas and Easter by their proper names....

“I hope whatever theyve got in Texas is catching.”
It's called independence, liberty, the Bible, and guns to be sure we keep the others.
