KANSAS CITY, Mo. A woman shot a man who tried to get into her home on 106th and Greenwood Thursday afternoon in Kansas City, Mo.
Shirley Roberts, 52, told police three young men tried to break into her home around noon Thursday.
According to Roberts, the men pulled in front of her home and went to her front door and tried to get in. When the men couldnt, Roberts said the men then put on blue rubber gloves and tried to get into her back door.
It was then that Roberts, home alone, grabbed a gun and fired a single shot through her glass back door, hitting one of the men in the chest.

Yet another happy ending brought to you by MarkTwain.
No it isn’t; not terribly bright.
Why no gloves on front door, and (blue latex) gloves on back door? They’ve left prints on the front door anyway.
Good shooting, Shirley!
Read the comments section; her son is on it.
Best to wait quietly, close the door on them after they enter, and then fire point blank. The hunters suddenly become the hunted.
The Blaze has local TV video. Note that they described her husband as “shell shocked”, but it’s hard to tell, because he is grinning from ear to ear and seems very pleased with how things worked out.
Notice to perps do not bring rubber gloves to a Gun Fight!
Another one for the Good side!
My sister lives a few blocks from there. In that neighborhood, the odds of finding an armed house is small. Lots of libs and gun grabbers (but I repeat myself) around there, any other house would have been easy picking, the crooks chose wrong.
Okay, okay, maybe he was only trying to open the outer steel security gate so he could knock on the wooden door behind it (I'm sure that would've been his story if I had called the police).
But when I zoomed in and played the video later in slow motion, the peculiar thing was that he tried to turn the doorknob between his knuckles. Do you happen to know whether or not nice loving Amish mommies and daddies are teaching their spawn babies not to grab things with their fingertips when they don't have gloves, but instead to grab them, touch them, pick them up, etc., between the knuckles of their index finger and their middle finger so as not to leave fingerprints?
