The Swedes are about to discover what real vigilantism is.
When the government does not protect the people from crime, or worse, takes the side of the criminals against the people, vigilantism results.
Vigilantism always begins peacefully, with the petition to government to stop crime, which is ignored. Such a government sees the vigilante movement as a bigger threat to them than the criminals, so tries to stop it. Soon it turns to threats and even violence against the vigilante movement, tries to arrest its leaders, and publicly vilifies it.
The criminals join in as well, attacking the leaders and other members. Only then, finally, do the vigilantes have enough. But all they still want to do is to just drive the criminals out. Unless the criminals resist expulsion, which is when the vigilantes finally become violent.
This is all a natural progression that happens on its own, and can be stopped simply by government doing its job. But that almost never happens.

Although not as high as in the United States, the rate of gun ownership in Sweden is fairly high.
If Swedes really get tired of muslim bs, the muslims in Sweden could take a real beating in short order.

So the police exist to protect the rioters from their fellow citizens? The Swedes have two choices: throw out the idiot politicians who do this, or move to another country.

The primary justification for a government is that it protects its subjects from external attack or internal crime. If the government will not protect its citizens from external attackers (immigrants raping natives, attacking ethnic Swedes, and arson), they lose their most basic right to rule.
The government wants the problems so they can build more government.

Response: Please note that the Swedish government through its own police agency is protecting the "Third World" invader against the native Swede.
It will be the same thing in the U.S.A. if we attempt to protect the lives of ourselves, family and our property. The reason being that through moral laxity Americans have abdicated in favor of the "Third World" invader.

The vigilantes were described as a motley crew of homeowners and concerned citizens, as well as neo-Nazi activists and football hooligans. ............................. I seem to recall reading something in Europe 2 years ago proclaiming that it will be the neo nazis and soccer hooligans that will eventually save Europe. Kinda scary, even when the enemy of my enemy is my friend. All it takes is a breaking point, if you keep pushing the buttons, eventually you will hit the wrong one. I know of certain neighborhoods in Brooklyn NY that if you pulled that crap there, you be’d gone.

It’s not the police’s inability. They were ordered by higher ups not to stop the rioters.
But the police are certainly going after the native Swedes who are trying to defend their neighborhoods from the barbarians.

It was one of the most successful organizations in the vigilante tradition of the American Old West.
These militias hanged eight people and forced several elected officials to resign. Each Committee of Vigilance formally relinquished power after three months.
The police are afraid of the “immigrants.” Too bad the homeowners and hooligans don’t have guns.
The homeowners and other residents of the neighborhoods were out in full force to defend their communities with their assault spatulas at the ready.
