Brave mother and daughter stood alongside Cub Scout leader against Islamic fanatics
Daily Mail ^ | 24th May 2013 | Vanessa Allen

Posted on 05/24/2013 3:22:43 AM PDT by the scotsman

'A mother and daughter were the 'Angels of Woolwich' who bravely risked their own lives to comfort the soldier left dying in the street.

Gemini Donnelly-Martin, 20, and her mother Amanda, stepped forward and asked the attackers if they could be by Drummer Lee Rigby's side.

Their refusal to be cowed by the terrorists won praise from all quarters, including Downing Street.

Although other bystanders watched in horror and police waited helplessly for armed officers to arrive, Gemini modestly insisted her and her mother were not heroes and had done what anyone else would do.

She told the Daily Mirror: 'We did what anyone would do. We just wanted to take care of the man. It wasn't brave. Anyone would have done it. It had to be done. They (the killers) said women could pass.'

'The only thing people need to worry about is that poor man's mum. We are grateful, though, for what people are saying about us.'

When it became apparent Drummer Lee Rigby was beyond their help, they shielded his body from further desecration by his savage attackers.

Amanda, 44, insisted she be allowed to pray for the dead man even when confronted by one of the killer. Kneeling at his side, she cradled him gently, seemingly unfazed by his horrific wounds.

Yesterday Gemini was back searching for work at a local job fair while her mother did not want to talk about what happened.'

You expend your energy on your country, instead of telling others how to run theirs. With the world’s most powerful military, intelligence service and 300m armed people, terrorists with bolt cutters and ball bearings have struck twice in the last 12 years in the US and killed and maimed thousands. A little less sneering at the Limeys and Euros might not go amiss.

In all fairness, they already the Canadians in WWI and the war was in hand before the Americans joined up. Obviously those were the days when the UK still had plenty of real men. Guys like the scotsman are rarer and rarer nowadays it would seem, and not just in the UK, here and in the US as well. We have a global shortage of real men. It`s up to us to stand up for our rights, and teach our kids about their rights.

“A little less sneering at the Limeys and Euros might not go amiss.”

I sneer because your Euro and Limeys have exported your socialist countries’ propensities to the U.S., which all conservatives here want no part of. Heaven knows why you moved back into the belly of the socialist beast, although we too in the U.S. are heading that way, under Herr Obama. Or is that Heil Obama. Have you gotten on the Telly yet to find out what’s going on with the plane from Pakistan that must have been force landed by now in the U.K.

>>Does America being armed to the teeth make America safer?. No.

An armed devout Christian makes any neighborhood a safer place to live, for Christians and non Christians.

An armed Democrat very often has the opposite effect.

Hear ye, hear ye, right you are. I love real men and we sure do need more of them. No more limp wrists, please.

I looked it up as a literal string. The quote is mistyped; the correct word is "influence."

Lot of history there, if you`re like me and like history, it can be quite interesting. We also have a lot of the same problems, I don`t bashing them is going to help anyone`s cause.

Well, if you hear anything further, please post it for our edification. Thanks. You’ll be glad to know I am now about to go forage for food. It’s been a pleasure debating with you, and we are all pretty much in the same boat now when it comes to Jihad Muzzies. May we survive them. I keep thinking about how they took over the whole of the Byzantine Empire. Although some think the West invincible, we can fall to the barbarians outside the gate. All empires eventually fall. See Roman/Byzantine as an example. Or the British Empire, lol (now don’t get all het up). On to food. Till the next set of jousts, I remain, a proud American for all our faults.

Not so much a bash as an observation. I have no ill will toward the Brits only the ones that come over here and bash us (Piers). I firmly believe that they can run their country and we can run ours.

I am sick of the bashing Britain is getting here today.

I can relate. It's something akin to explaining to my fellow conservatives why I still live in California. Although, I think California is possibly worse than Briton (Just a guess as I have never been to Briton. It just feels that way).

Then again, I've seen good American conservatives mercilessly go for each other's jugular about one state versus another...let alone one country versus another.

LOL, glad I saw it before heading into kitchen. Loved it, thanks. Monty Python, one of the great things exported from the U.K. Toodles.

The point of this article was the bravery of two kind women comforting a dying man in the face of vicious killers. Meanwhile, you idiots are arguing a bunch of BS. Congratulations all of you. Well done.

Perhaps the great difference between America and England/Scotland is that we are citizens - you are subjects.

Citizens are able to be armed as a Natural Law Right.

Subjects may own weapons as permitted by their Sovereign/government.

As for the higher level of gun caused deaths - fear not for America. We are just culling the Urban Feral herd.

Major cull due soon.

“Winston Churchill was right, rabid dogs do what rabid dogs do.”

And, Liberals do what Liberals do, too. Kipling said it well:
“As it will be in the future, it was at the birth of Man
There are only four things certain since Social Progress began.
That the Dog returns to his Vomit and the Sow returns to her Mire,
And the burnt Fool’s bandaged finger goes wabbling back to the Fire;”

Social Progress is Kipling-ese for collectivism, Libtardism, communism, ad nauseam.

US has 75% of all *identified* serial killers in the world.

Really, you think every mass killer in the entire world has been identified? Laughable.
