My point to the poster was that our ways are the ways they are, just like yours. And if the UK way is so abhorrent to Americans, then dont come. We dont want people coming here and telling us how to run our country. Just as I am sure you wouldnt want Brits doing likewise in the US.
For all our faults, I think of many places much worse to visit and live than the UK.
