Lois Lerner, the Internal Revenue Service’s director of exempt organizations, has been placed on administrative leave, according to a source in the agency’s Cincinnati office.
Lerner on Thursday afternoon sent an e-mail to employees in the exempt organizations division she oversees stating, “Due to the events of recent days, I am on administrative leave starting today. An announcement will be made shortly informing you who will be acting while I am on administrative leave. I know all of you will continue to support EO’s mission during these difficult times.” She concluded, “I thank you for all your hard work and dedication,” adding, “The work you do is important.”

This is the kind of narrative I want to see firing up talk radio hosts with millions of listeners. Radio hosts who claim to be the leader of the conservative movement.
Instead of “Lois Lerner will never be held accountable. The IRS is untouchable. Obama will get away with everything he does.”

I am not a lawyer. I didn’t stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night....but....I don’t understand something.
The Fifth Amendment says:
No person .... nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, ...”
Lois Lerner voluntarily works for the government. Congress has oversight responsibility of the agency for which she works. She took an oath to testify before Congress, which is NOT a criminal proceeding.
She then, AFTER BEING SWORN IN, made a statement:
“I have not done anything wrong,” she said. “I have not broken any laws. I have not violated any IRS rules or regulations. And I have not provided false information to this or any other congressional committee.”
Why can she not be compelled by Congress to answer any question proving or disproving the accuracy of her statement? Every act of hers in an official capacity as an IRS employee is now open. She asserted she had not violated any rules or regulations. She also asserted that she had NEVER provided false testimony to any congressional committee. To me, that means any testimony she has ever given is now open for examination.
IMO, if you work for the government, and you are called to testify before COngress, you can’t refuse to answer questions without losing your job.
FYI: Bret Baier just reported that IRS Acting Chief asked Lois for her resignation - she refused and was then put on Administrative Leave ...

Since 2008, whenever statements are made without taking questions, or answering actual questions with drivel is performed without true cross-examination, we have witnessed the ‘so whatcha gonna do about it’ defense. Without actual, oath-requiring testimony that is subject to appropriate cross-examination, we have not seen anyone suffer consequences.
Instead, we have paid those consequences. With our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.
No preponderance of the evidence, no likelihood of causation, no without a doubt criminality has even been breathed on a whisper through the hallowed halls of Congress. And we are the targets of such lawlessness?
So our ‘betters’ can skate? This isn’t a zero-sum game, even if the present Administration thinks it is.

Patience, the elections of 2014 is more than a year away. Get testimony from those underlings involved in this and work your way up the food chain. All roads lead to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
My predicition: Obama doesn’t make it past 2014...there won’t be anyone else to throw under the bus.

On a different thread I posted something similar. Just wishful thinking on my part but I thought it might be a way for her to intentionally be made to testify against some superior without looking like she wanted to.
Her hubris is going to take her down, but she well may take a few obamaites down with her.
