The police were clashing with them. Left to their own devices the protestors would have bust up a mosque (and no bad thing).

When the cops aren't carrying guns, what have you got to worry about? The UK is toast. In ten years, fifteen tops Canterbury Cathedral will be a mosque. A British soldier killed 200 yards from an army base? Forget it, "Tommy Atkins'' is no more.
