Woolwich: We Are At War [Statement from English Defense League]
EDL News ^ | 22 May 2013

Posted on 05/23/2013 3:55:04 AM PDT by rickmichaels

The terrible events in Woolwich today were a reminder of something very few are willing to accept: we are at war. Despite what Islamic extremists may claim, this war is not being waged against all Muslims.

However they may feel about British foreign policy or perceived injustices towards Muslim peoples around the world, most British Muslims accept this simple fact. But many don’t. They see oppression where there is none and they respond not with reason or argument, but with violence.

‘Why?’ is a dangerous question, but it’s one we must ask. And where we find fault, criticisms must be made.

We must criticise the Muslim community’s failure to deal with the extremists in their midst.

We must criticise the self-segregation of certain sections of the Muslim community.

And we must continue to campaign in favour of reform and against the continued spread of extremism.

This is as much a war on Muslims as criticising government policy is an attack on democracy.

It may not always be easy to define ‘the enemy’, but whoever or whatever it is we are fighting, one thing is certain: you can’t escape it. The soldier who was so savagely killed today did not ask to be involved in this war.

Like the vast majority of the brave men and women who make up our armed forces, he would have been motivated by a sense of duty and a need to help defend his country and its people.

His murderer's actions are incomparable.

He didn’t act in the defence of Islam, because it is not Islam that is under attack.

George Bush had his war on terror, David Cameron speaks about ‘Islamist extremism’ and our newspapers do all they can to avoid using ‘the I word’.

Not only are we not at war with Islam, but our politicians and the media are doing everything they can to make it clear that they don’t want to be at war with Islam.

Unfortunately, none of this changes the sad fact that many of Islam’s followers are at war with us.

In fact, Islam has been at war with its neighbours since its inception.

The Qur'an itself tells us how Mohammed butchered those who stood in his way.

This is why it makes so little sense to blame government policy, Western culture or even anti-extremism groups like the EDL for Islamic extremism.

But within the next few days that’s exactly what we’ll read in the newspapers.

Some people like to believe that if ‘the right people’ were in power Islamic extremism would simply go away. Some claim that being a soldier puts you in the line of fire, whether you are in uniform or not.

And some believe that campaigning against Islamic extremism will just make matters worse.

They’re all wrong.

The victims deserve the truth.

We don’t like to admit it, we don’t want it to be true – and that’s absolutely fine.

In fact, it’s what sets us apart from the fanatics: from those who believe their religion teaches them to kill, oppress and terrorise.

But it doesn’t change the simple fact: we are at war. We need to clamp down on extremist preachers and the mosques that continue to host them.

We need to kick the extremists off our streets and out of our country.

Quite simply, we need to cut out the cancer that is Islamic extremism.

This is a war in defence of our culture, our rights, our freedom and our country.

It’s about time our government began to act like it.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Our MSM isn’t reporting this at all.

The Brits, like so many other Euros, have sacrificed themselves on the altar of Socialism.

There are some holdouts, like the EDL, who heed the call of freedom.

It may not always be easy to define ‘the enemy’...

Oh, I think in this case it is very easy.

Kick the extremists off of your streets? Kick them out of your country?

If you’re at war, you kill them. You don’t send them elsewhere so they can regroup and come back at you, stronger.

This is a war like no other. The enemy lives amongst us, and we don’t know who they are until they attack.

We had better wake up.

"He didn’t act in the defence of Islam, because it is not Islam that is under attack."

That's a debatable point. For me islam will always be rightfully under attack. Some in the west don't realize there's a war going on globally. I do.

What we call “Islamic extremism” is actually Orthodox Islam. The “muslims” who don’t slaughter innocents in the name of Jihad are MINOs, Muslims in Name Only. Jihadists follow the quaran and the teachings and example of the false prophet and child molestor Mohammed (piss be upon him). Islamic “extremism” is mainstream Islam as it has been taught and practiced for 1400 years.

The more of this kind of thing that takes place and the more senseless, violent and brutal it is… I always expect the response from leadership to be proportionately adamant, focused and unambiguous.

Instead, we get the opposite. We get more of the same sentiment and language which has animated and encouraged these animals from the start.

The perversely equivocal and ambiguous posture of ‘leadership’ is exactly WHY these misfits are in our countries to begin with AND it is also the reason they are free carry out the barbaric and senseless violence which is natural to them.

It seems to be clear to all except the ‘leadership’ that immigrants who WILL NOT assimilate and intend NEVER to assimilate are in your country for NO GOOD reason. PERIOD!

The English were fanatically and scrupulously careful about preventing subversives from entering their country during the second war. What happened to THAT mentality?

Dangerous immigrants have a plan and an agenda.

WE don’t!

So, innocent and vulnerable citizens (with a perfect RIGHT to expect safety and security) are paying the price.

This is NOT leadership!

And have been so conditioned to accept these radicals, they stand by and let some poor soldier be attacked, hacked and bleed to death.

The problem with the PM’s ‘strong stand against extremism and it will never defeat freedom’, yada yada yada, is that PC has invaded Britain, just like it has in the US, and PC is killing the citizenry.

PC disarms the citizenry.
PC protects the extremists.

PC is a guise used by liberalism to intimidate, censor, control.

==

Already, the soldiers in Britain have been told to not wear uniforms off the bases.

PC at work.

Britain, like the US, fails to comprehend that Islamic Extremism [waaaaaaaa don’t use those words or C.A.I.R. will whine] IS at war with the US and Britain. Meanwhile, Britain and the US try to treat incidents involving Islamic Extremists as law enforcement issues.

But, hey, Islam is the religion of peace.

I recall the London Riots of 2011. As the underclass is burning the cities, a few neighborhoods rose up to defend themselves.

One mob attacked a local pub. The good folks inside the pub showed them the door. Head first. Without opening it.

Turkish and Pakistani business owners began forming “protection squads”, armed with clubs, truncheons, anything they could get their hands on, and kept their shops from being burned.

The EDL helped organize neighborhood watches, much like the Muslim shop owners did. They were able to put a sizeable force together to ward off the mob.

But what did London’s finest do? They declared the EDL groups illegal, and started busting heads. NOT the rioters, the ordinary citizens.

None of them were carrying knives - or better yet a gun. Think how quickly a bystander properly armed could have ended this. Makes me ill.
