Small group dynamics ~ every point of Jante's Law can be interpreted in a way applicable to every society, even those dedicated to extreme individualism ~ thinking here of parts of Montana where they have what seems to me to be a 20 foot social distance within which they are not likely to be found ~ asks lots of questions about dancing and reproduction, but otherwise all of those things apply even there.

The problem this Moslem is going to face is simple ~ no one in his current small social circle at his place of employment will even talk to him ~ he's on his own in a country that has a small social distance.

He could have a stroke sitting at his desk and they won't call for the medics until he begins to stink ~ typically there's no air conditioning in that country so that would be a real problem.

I look at Jante Law as the perfect rules for collectivists, not individualists.
