Chopra is an ultraleft moonbat. Having read his page, he panders to the extreme gay lobby in the cheap shots he took on Bishop Jackson.

I don't disagree, but political realities are what they are. There is very little chance Bishop Jackson will win in Virginia unless the political environment changes dramatically between now and November. VA is a purple, but increasingly leaning blue, state and a favorite of the grass roots often doesn't make for a good statewide nominee. We've unfortunately got 2 Democrat Senators and this state voted for Obama in 08' and 12'. Jackson reminds me of an Alan Keyes type candidate. Very popular with the base, terribly unpopular with general election voters.

Remember that Virginia has voted against the party in the White House in its statewide elections every 4 years since 1977. The folks that vote in the statewide (off-year) elections tend to differ from those that have voted in the regular generals, and lean more Republican.

As for the Senators, half the reason those 2 were elected was because both faced ultimately subpar GOP opponents. It was shocking how bad Gilmore performed (about as bad as the hapless minister the GOP ran against Chuck Robb in 1988) and clearly George Allen never recovered from his shocking upset in 2006 and in hindsight should never have run again.

Clearly running milquetoasts and establishment types get us nowhere but loss after loss. I think it’s time to run an honest and motivating candidate like Bishop Jackson for a change. The difference between him and Ambassador Keyes was that when Keyes ran against Zero as the substitute nominee for the Senate, he wasn’t really an IL resident and didn’t realize that he was being used by the state political Combine (the GOP side of which had no intention of helping him at all).

Jackson will come in with the support of his running mates, Cuccinelli and Obenshain. This time it’s Chopra that is the out of touch leftist carpetbagger from New Jersey who is running as the unapologetic gay lobby candidate.
