Upstate NY should seriously consider secession from the rest of the state, if not the country. Sounds like irreconcilable differences between upstate residents and the city dwellers in places like New Yawk, Utica, and Albany.
It’s not rational for city dwellers to determine law for rural areas.
Rather than secession, I'd like to see expulsion. We should expel the far left states (CA, CT, DC, DE, HI, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, RI, VT, and WA) from the United States and allow them to form their own happy socialist people's republic. upstate NY and other patriotic sections of leftist states could expel their socialist regions and then rejoin the USA with permission. There is no need for a civil war if it's a question of expulsion rather than secession, and we don't need the parasites on the far left - we need freedom.
