Monday afternoon, ABC News released a chilling report that details what journalists have faced while trying to get some answers from the Cincinnati IRS office, which is where a majority of the Tea Party targeting took place.
According to ABC, an "armed uniform police officer with the Federal Protective Service" "escorted" reporters through the public building. ABC says if the intent wasn't to "scare off" employees who might talk, "it was the effect."

ABC News lately seems to.be somewhat waking up to reality.
Having their reporter's phone lines tapped by the government might have been a little wake up bell for them.
I live near a small (35K pop) town with an IRS office; maybe 10 seats in the waiting room. One of those 10 seats is occupied by an armed rent-a-cop whose main job appears to be to tell new arrivals how to take a number. Oh, and to enforce the no cell phone rule. If you want to look up an address or share a photo, he makes you leave the building. So I imagine the Cinncinnati armed escort business is S.O.P. God help the reporters if they tried to take a picture.
The Social Security office in Lebanon, Missouri also has a federal cop of some kind.
Same with social security office. Two armed guards in an office that could hold maybe 20 people tops.
Ever try to go back to the workroom floor in a post office?
We need a Kickstarter project to hire/liberate IRS whistleblowers. It’s hard for the Feds to threaten one with job loss if there’s a million or so set aside to make a whistleblower whole again.

I used to deliver to the huge US postal HQ in South Central LA. Never had an guard escort me back to the workfloor.

Something wrong ~ ordinarily no one is even allowed in there without an ID or an escort with an ID.
Upps, I posted to wrong thread. Sorry.
Unfortunately this is not the first time I did that. hee hee hee
Done many, many times, (delivering catering) never an escort of any kind, entered through back door, hung out and chatted with the workers.
Just trying to imagine workroom folks getting catered lunch! (Bwahahahahahaaaaa)
The key to surviving this phase is to keep your head down and not get noticed.
