If you open the gate and walk away so that anyone can take what is inside, then are you supplying weapons to the opportunists?

How many of these weapons are floating around now and in whose hands?

Bad gamble on the part of the administration.

That's how I see it, also. Once the Obama administration supported the rebels in Libya and Ghaddafi was overthrown, the weapons the Ghaddafi regime had fell into rebel hands and who knows how many different brands of terrorists were involved.

This sounds like a hamhanded effort to get the portable missiles out of rebel hands and then they did everything wrong as the scehme started falling apart. And there could also have been weapons transfers to Syrian rebels involved.
