Monday afternoon, ABC News released a chilling report that details what journalists have faced while trying to get some answers from the Cincinnati IRS office, which is where a majority of the Tea Party targeting took place.
According to ABC, an "armed uniform police officer with the Federal Protective Service" "escorted" reporters through the public building. ABC says if the intent wasn't to "scare off" employees who might talk, "it was the effect."
ABC News is also hearing conflicting reports from Cincinnati IRS employees and the IRS Headquarters in Washington. A Washington spokesman told ABC that press queries are "referred to the press office," but that "people have First Amendment rights, they are entitled to speak."
An employee in OH said that is not the case and that staffers have been threatened with their jobs if they are caught talking to the media: (Read the rest at link)

Who? What is the Federal Protective Service? Department of Homeland Security, naturally. Think of them as mall cops for federal installations. Details HERE. I'm surprised they didn't strip-search the reporters just for practice.

Well, CBS just did their part in the cover up with a story of a retired IRS worker in the Cincinnati IRS Center who, of course, said they were swamped by 73,000 tax exempt applications and there was absolutely no political slant at all--
Am ashamed of watching CBS Evening News but there are tornadoes to the west of me and the local CBS channel 11 is doing weather cast instead of commercials.

"Asked why we were being escorted in a public building, the officer identified himself as Insp. Mike Finkelstein and said he was only trying to make sure that the newsmen were not a "nuisance." He brushed aside further questions. The cop said a supervisor would call to explain." The Main Stream Media are finding out the real face of the Obama Syndicate. I am hoping that they snap out of their fantasy world on the Unicorn Farm and start seeing this Marxist regime for what it is: Unconstitutional.

Jack booted thugs. If the reporters did not pose a danger, they have every right to look for hacks to interview.
To: Bender2
Saw that too. Discraceful.
