Gang of Eight splits over tax credits for provisional immigrants (Blood Boil Alert)

Democratic and Republican members of the Gang of Eight split Monday over a proposal to block millions of immigrants from receiving earned income tax credits, a major cash assistance program.

Sens. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) broke with Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) over the issue of giving federal payments to illegal immigrants who would receive temporary legal status under the legislation.

Graham and Flake supported an amendment sponsored by Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) to deny earned income tax credits (EITC) to people with Registered Provisional Immigrant Status (RPI).

An estimated 11 million illegal immigrants would gain RPI status under the immigration reform bill pending in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

Schumer and Durbin voted no.

It failed on a party-line vote of 8 to 10.

“EITC is generally available to anyone who has a Social Security number and many are abusing that today we’ve discovered but as these RPIs are established and get a Social Security number, they will qualify it appears under the law for Earned Income Tax Credit,” Sessions said.

Sessions disputed what he called claims by the Gang of Eight that immigrants with temporary legal status would not receive federal benefits.

“This would grant such benefits to millions and be a substantial burden on our country’s finances at a time we’re desperately trying to reduce our deficits,” he said.

An aide to Sessions said “every year billions [of dollars] of tax credits go to illegal immigrants.”

Earned income tax credits comprise the nation’s largest cash assistance program for low-income families after the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program, according to the Tax Policy Center.

The center estimates that about 26 million households will receive $60 billion in tax credits this year.

A low-income family with two kids can receive up to $5,372 in credit...

Yeah, and if you go to Breitbart.com, you’ll find that Schumer said “do our repulicans have a pass on this one?” In other words, Graham and Flake and Hatch could vote with their colleagues while the amendment still passes, the best of both worlds for a moderate republican: liberal legislation passes but “I’m not responsible, oh no, why I voted against it!”

What’d you expect from the Dems? That they wouldn’t insisted on taxpayers to buy the votes of the illegals? Hardly.

AMNESTY TWO ISSUES NEVER TOUCHED

ACTIVE FR’S IF YOU SEE ANY CREDITABLE REPORTS OF PROBLEMS AMERICAN CITIZENS ARE HAVING WHILE LIVING IN MEXICO PLEASE POST THEM.....

(1) When is the treatment of American citizens in Mexico and their rights vs US treatment of Mexicans going to be an issue when we discuss amnesty ? And two other questions US legislators should ask

Here are three questions:that has yet to appear on any US legislator’s questionaire from either chamber

ASK YOUR FEDERAL LEGISLATORS WHY THEY HAVEN’T

Issue One

!...Should Mexican citizens when in the US be given the same rights American citizens are given while in Mexico? ....... If an American citizen enters Mexico illegaly they are heavily fined and sometimes jailed then unceremoniously sent back ..That plus the US offers no incentive to become a citizen when Mexican nationals already have those privledges which an American citizen cannot have while legally living in Mexico.

2.. The Mexican government through public statements and educational system lays claims to major portions or all to some of our southwestern states as part of the Mexican nation . Are we asking for trouble by granting their illegals an expressed path to our citizenship laying the groundwork for “squatters rights” at some future date ?

Proof of this is already occuring in border areas where there is a majority tearing down the American standard (flag) and replacing it the Mexican. Or running American blacks out of areas where illegals are the majority.

3... If it is deemed necessary to supplement the US labor force by allowing itinerant labor should the individual states make the determiniation as to the number should the offer being needed ? And should that offer not be restricted simply to Mexican nationals but to other central and south American countries as well ? This gives Mexican nationals the biggest share of any quota.

Issue 2

What makes it necessary for US to subjugate our sovereignty because of available cheap labor ? While the Godless Demo-Coms socialists encourage population control and abortion . Then complain the US is not reproducing enough citizens to replace its aging retiring workforce. But rely on (as the Romans did) on foreigners (barbarians) .to keep their welfare ponzie schemes supplied with tax money and keep the system working.....

On the Mexican problem

Ever hear of reciprocal aggrements ? These are arranged to protect the rights of American citizens working or living in other countries.

Why is it when it comes to citizens of other countries we are required to offer them the same privledges as we do to US citizens? But when it comes to US citizens who get in trouble or attempt to do business in other countries they do not get the same treatment their citizens get.

Americans can’t own coast land in Mexico. And get no title to it elsewhere. If they run out of cash they’ll get unceremoniously sent back or put in jail untill some relative comes up with the “fresh”. That’s just for starters as for granting them voting privledges yea let’s give Mexican citizens that right when American citizens vote in their elections

It did until a La Raza lawyer judge shopped and it was ruled “unconstitutional.” Exactly what will happen when this amnesty bill is passed.

Whether the initial amnesty bill grants welfare benefits to newly legal illegals or not, once they are legal the courts will grant the benefits based on equal protection & discrimination laws.

Once again, clever lawyers will be enriched by class action lawsuits & US citizens will pay the price.
