My guess is that they also want to keep "amnesty/Immigration reform" now moving through the Senate on the back burner and out of the news as well.
Maybe all these scandals hitting at once are all designed to keep amnesty moving along unfettered by annoying conservatives complaining about legalizing 20-40 million illegals overnight and forever changing the balance between Republican and Democrats.Just maybe.
