Is opposition to gay marriage about warding off a public threat, or policing private morality? Is it about imposing religiously-derived categories onto a secular public, or protecting our way of life?
...I fall into the category of what would probably be considered an anti-gay activist since I have been very involved in both Britain and the United States campaigning against the promotion of homosexuality in the schools and, more recently, same-sex marriage.
But perhaps these efforts are misplaced. Does the gay agenda really threaten marriage? Is homosexuality really a political issue, or just a question of private morality?
These were some of the questions that Fredericas thought-provoking article raised. Since the time when she wrote that article, David Dunn has argued that gay marriage will definitely not affect traditional marriage in any way. Id like to suggest that both Mathewes-Green and Dunn may be being too optimistic and that the evidence from Canada shows that legalizing same-sex marriage can be considered a public threat...

It’s an affront to Almighty God.
Gay marriage ignores Natural Law which is the foundation of our Constitution which protects the sovereignty of the individual from the tyranny of the state. That Natural Law was established by our Creator and cannot be ignored or destroyed. Those who do so are a public threat and must be eliminated from power.
Gays wouldn’t want to get “married” if divorce hadn’t become so easy. No fault divorce was really the beginning of the end for traditional marriage. Divorce is as much of an offense against God as gay “marriage” or any other sexual abomination, whether it be adultery, fornication, or the myriad other ways we have found to profane the sacred power of procreation.
I don’t know if divorce is as much an affront as sodomy, but you’re right...the ease with which divorce was accepted by the church and society paved the way for the current sickness.

Wow! Great article, thanks.
Just imagine if, back in the 1960s when "no fault" divorce was being introduced in the U.S., someone had countered with the argument that it would pave the way for homosexual marriage!
Just goes to show you how the "Law of Unintended Consequences" works.

If you observe the order of precedence articulated in Romans 1:20++, its evidently sort of like a plague or punishment delivered upon a culture that worships the created instead of the Creator.
Because of this, God gave them over

And a misogynists wet dream that equates the vulva to the anus.
