Yeah, a couple of days ago, I heard the number of CO sheriffs now suing went to 50. As I recall, thee original number of sheriffs suing was about 37. Now I’ll read the article. :^)
Oh, I pleasantly see it is now up to 54 sheriffs. Hee. :-)
yessssss......
I am loving this....
54 sheriffs and there are 67 counties in the state.
Basically it covers magazines with a capacity over 10 rounds or with a removable floor plate. Says a Colorado resident may not transfer ownership of any of these magazines. Can't buy, sell, nor give to friends/family, etc. As Sheriff Maketa points out - go look at your favorite magazine. See if there is any kind of serial number or date of manufacture on there. Most have neither. So after the law goes into effect, say a Deputy "makes contact" with a firearm owner. How is said Deputy supposed to know if the magazine(s) the citizen has is/are legal (ie. grandfathered in, owned prior to the ban) or recently purchased in violation of the ban? Can't be done.
The real effect is to target businesses, who will no longer be able to offer these magazines for sale. This is a simple example of the stupidity of the laws chickenlooper signed. Even if everyone thought they were right, or even a good idea, they can't be enforced. Of course criminals will still have ready access to any magazines they want, quietly purchased in Cheyenne, Santa Fe, etc. and driven in to Denver, Colorado Springs, etc.
Yes, the point is to disrupt the supply chain. Interpersonal transfers suffer chilling effects as well. Unenforceable on the whole, but obviously new mags can be identified (new manufacturers or designs, think Magpul in light of prior bans), and makes citizens paranoid about potential transgressions.

Well, yeah, Vince Ferrer, but those numbers are way too large and complex for representatives of the Democratic [sic] party.
You’ve got some outstanding sheriffs in the West. I watched a video of one sheriff who threatened to sic his SWAT team on BLM bureaucrats.
