Federal agents rescue 3 Washington-bound immigrants from smugglers

Three accused people smugglers now face federal hostage-taking charges after they were caught holding Washington-bound immigrants for ransom, a Homeland Security Investigations spokesman announced Thursday.

Federal investigators contend Espiridion Pablo-Madrigal, 34, Abel Donce de la Torre-Gonzalez, 32, and Luis Bretado-Aragon, 19, are accused of holding three immigrants hostage in a “drop house” in Phoenix, Ariz. A department spokesman said the kidnappers threatened to kill their hostages if the victims’ family didn’t pay.

Homeland Security Investigations agents learned of the house on May 13, after a caller contacted HSI Seattle to report the kidnapping.

HSI agents in Phoenix then worked around the clock to find the drop house, which was raided Tuesday morning by local police and federal agents.

If there any reason for these folks who hand over thousands of dollars to the Mexico's most dangerous cartel to sneak into America should not also be charged with a crime ? Hiring drug cartels is why they get kidnapped, ,threaten, et,et,et..Here is says,The man told agents his relatives had paid smugglers to bring them from Mexico to Washington. Pablo-Madrigal is alleged to have then called the man Monday, demanding an additional $4,800 per person in ransom or he would “slit their throats and send pictures.” Should this not be a crime in the U.S. for illeals to hire the services of cartels and paying money to come here and once they are here,it results in the cartels taking it upon themselves to demand more money from families,they hold the folks for ransom money and if no money is paid the illegals can expect bad things will happen to them.Shouldn't there be laws that if you hire drug smugglers, that you will be charged with a felony . America will not tolerate illegals hiring dangerous cartel smugglers to sneak illegals into the country that the illegal will be will be charge with a felony ?
