The IG report took months to compile. Before it is released to the public, the IG must brief the Secretary of Treasury on the results, especially if there a damaging information about to be released.

I find it incredible that the Treasury Secretary did not brief the WH sometime much earlier--at least weeks and perhaps months. I say that advisedly having worked in the federal government for 36 years and being very familiar with the IG process.

The Reps should jump on this statement during the hearings.

The political appointee lawyers at Treasury and IRS would have been in communication with the WH lawyers and probably Obama campaign. The kenyan knew this was about to drop.
