Lerner also reportedly fast-tracked an approval for a foundation operated by President Obama's half brother, taking the extraordinary step of granting it retroactive tax-free status.

"Seventy-five organizations effected" - That number almost immediately swelled to 300. Now it's closer to 500:

Obama’s IRS basically shut the tea party and conservatives out of the 2012 election and out of politics.

The tea party grew and in the 2010 election the tea party won a great victory

So Obama’s IRS shut down or prevented many tea party groups from starting . This is why the 2012 election favored democrats and why Obama won.

Obama’s IRS intimidated many conservatives form taking part in the political process and from raising money for causes they believed in

basically the IRS shut down the tea party to rig the election for democrats in 2012 and for Obama

there would have been a lot more conservatives elected to congress if the tea party groups were allowed to raise money. additionally maybe a conservative would have been nominated for the GOP (as tea party groups couldn’t raise money for a conservative in the primary)

so the election is invalid , Obama must be impeached and the IRS must be abolished not given more power with obamacare.

You're right - this is beginning to resemble a scandal unprecedented in US history.

And claiming ignorance won't work - everything was apparently done to the benefit of Barack Obama's campaign.

WE NEED TO EXPLORE THIS WRT IMMIGRATION REFORM The current wisdom is that IRS agents (govt employees) involved in the n/p Tea Party brouhaha were making taxation decisions based on a taxpayer's political beliefs----this violates the Hatch Act (law applies to govt employees)----and engenders criminal charges.

Everybody knows Ohaha and the Dems are salivating for IR b/c it would garner votes. Ergo, IR is "political activity" as prohibited by the Hatch Act......applies to any govt employee using govt offices for political purposes.....including elected lawmakers.

The non-profit status of latino advocacy groups should be scrutinized. Did they get fast-tracked? Did they engage in political activity w/out penalty?

People kept asking where Romney's ad buys were when he was being attacked relentlessly by Obama.

The excuse was that Romney had to wait for the primaries to end to get general election funds released. I guess the real reason was that the tax-exempt issue groups that would have normally made up the gap were stopped by the IRS from participating.

Yes .

And not just the Presidency. IRS shut down the tea party ,500 groups and growing. Republicans could have had the Senate and a lot more conservative Republicans in congress. the IRS shut down tea party organizations,500 and counting that could have raised money to get out the vote in many races and in the presidential race too. we could have had enough Republicans to repeal Obamacare. as a result of the fraud and IRS illegal oppression of conservatives the democrats/socialists won have the Senate and the Presidency and they have the media of course. 2012 was the tipping point election.

One thing is sure, this was an organized effort.

This cannot be blamed on a couple of Obama fans, This involved the whole IRS.

Fire them all and jail the leaders.

Imagine how many people just walked away from being involved after the fear and intimidation set in? No wonder the "Tea Party went away".

This also makes you wonder if they gave the "Tea Party went away" meme to their apparatchiks in the press at the same time they were working to scare and bankrupt TP participants out of the field.

The strategy is winning election by putting the "death of a thousand cuts" strategy at work. It really has been a success.

Between this IRS action, voter suppression, many, many forms of vote fraud and relying on the weakness and subversiveness of the RINO elite--they have put a well oiled election taking machine in place.

Wow. Just wow.

And the IRS shutting down the tea party groups also helped democrats/socialists win the Senate. We'd have the Senate now in Republican hands and could impeach this Obama with the senate. and His agenda would be even worse off with a lot more ted Cruz's in the Senate. This is what the tea party did in 2010 but was reversed in 2012

you don’t get it the IRS shut down 500 tea party groups. with their funding maybe we’d have gotten a more conservative gop candidate in the primary. see the IRS and the media shut down conservatives from joining the political process but you all blame “the GOP”

Well, when you basically have a lawless president, who seethes with contempt for American values and the Constitution, it’s no surprise that the underlings are corrupt.

The fish rots from the head down.
