While this is not easy to do successfully, the GOP’s mistake last year (Romney esp) was not emphasizing how illegals amnesty hurts Americans who are legal immigrants, not just us rich old white people.

The legal immigration system is broken because it gives a huge shortcut hole for family chained migration.
Why would those who got the ‘jump ahead in line’ family pass see illegals as a threat? Like why would someone on welfare see those wanting welfare as a threat.

Rich old white people get "cheap labor". Trust me, I grew up in the Upper East Side and the Hamptons. Who do you think does their cleaning and gardening? Teh rich pay some extra taxes, but frankly higher accountants and lawyers to minimize their tax hit. It is the middle class, the working poor, and those who can't get jobs, who are screwed.
