“... The house is defunding obumacare piece by piece....”
***************************************************************
Anything that the House passes to defund all or any part of Obamacare is good. But they should be careful about passing legislation that MAKES IT LESS OBJECTIONABLE and more palatable to the American people. The more “warts” they remove, the less likely the political will can be aroused to vote in Representatives and Senators who will support the entirety of Obamacare being repealed.

I’m fairly certain that the GOPe is not really interested in ACTUALLY eliminating Obamacare. The John Boehner bit of propaganda this thread links to is meant to mislead IMHO. And, IMHO, it is succeeding with some.

I appreciate your view, but I see it differently.

It’s my understanding that the house is coordinating its actions with states controlled by Republicans. Here’s how it works:

States are refusing to implement obamacare. That means that the federal government must set up exchanges in the states using federal money. The House is refusing to approve money for that. In addition, the House is defunding obamacare by refusing to provide money for organizing obamacare.

With the states and republican house refusing to kick in money, we are creating the perfect storm that will sink obamacare. It’s not as sexy as voting to repeal obamacare in whole, but this strategy will have the same effect.

Of course, I could be wrong and am interested in hearing your reply.
