Rush Limbaugh is fast becoming a "relic," "as dated as Jazzercise or 'Macarena'" or so says CNN regular Dean Obeidallah in a new CNN.com op-ed.
Ironically, a CNN contributor is calling someone else irrelevant. But in all seriousness, Obeidallah gloats over Limbaugh's lost ad revenue in the past year and points to his inevitable decline: "Has Limbaugh become as dated as Jazzercise or 'Macarena?' All you need to do is look at the bottom line to see that Limbaugh is in trouble."
"Regardless where he turns up, Limbaugh will likely not be as relevant to the national media as he is now. All you have to do is look at the career of radio host Don Imus," Obeidallah added later, citing last week's report that the CEO of Limbaugh's radio syndicator admitted that advertisers distancing themselves from Limbaugh was hurting his company's profits.

Hmmmm...White House ‘talking points’ being passed around. Next they state Rush lacks ‘gravitas’... ;)
LOL!
Wasnt Zero just whining about Rush last night?
What was he all wee weed about?
Though his audience did decrease from the 1990's 20,000,000.
What a strange thing to say. I think Imus has more viewers now on Fox Business Network than he did when he was on CNBC.
Well, Obeidallah, the President of the United States just said that Rush is more powerful than he. How can Rush be on the way out when the POTUS is saying that Rush is the reason his failed policies are failing again?
As difficult as it may be for your ilk, at least try to be consistent, Obeidallah. Apparently you do not like common sense.
Either Bush’s fault or the sequester.
CNN is still around yet. Gee I thought it went the way of the Flintstones, MASH, Andy Griffith Show and others that are on TVLand.
Obei - d - allah??? WTF?
CNN already mooooslimized??
Not that 14m number is weekly listeners.
For some reason radio tabulates weekly and tv daily.
A radio program director once told me “our biggest problem is that we lose ten listeners a day via the obituary column”.
Young people don’t listen to radio. They are all Facebooked and Twitterized and hopped-up on social media. Which is why they become Obamabots.
Bingo! Think about that, which is something Obama does not have the skills to do. It is AMAZING that someone who has attained the office of the president of the United States of America is not sharp enough to think through what comes out of his own mouth before they speak. Obama admitted to others that a guy, a DEAF guy at that, is more powerful than he is. Wow!
Ill never forget Trump telling Wolf Blister the discussion didnt make much difference because only about 40,000 people were watching the show.
35,000 of the viewers were trapped in an airport waiting for their flight.
CNN whining about Rush’s lost revenue? That would be like me whining about Nick Saban winning only 3 National Champioships at Alabama
Rush has lost sponsors (some of who m have tried to come back), but he has gained about as many new ones. He’s not hurting.
All these irrelevant commentators with all these irrelevant organizations drop Rush’s name, hoping to get some attention.
LOL. LOL. LOL. Rush lives in their heads rent free. Long live true conservatives!
Oh tell us OdeanO, would you trade paychecks with Rush?
Hmmm?
I wonder if the CNN commentator ever heard of Chris Plante. Not that Rush is going anywhere anytime soon, but Chris is my favorite and most definitely will continue to get bigger. Plante once worked for CNN and does not have much nice to say about them.
....Until they are out into the real world and believe me, it has a way of slapping them in the face.
