I guess this would be good news if I watched TV. Network television is so bad these days that a couple “gay” shows are the least of its problems. Its headed off to the graveyard.
True, I couldn’t name one new show from this or the last few years.
Every now and then something catches my eye, like The Following, but I can get that on Hulu.
I did see ads for most of these stinkers, but not even the promos looked interesting. The networks just make themselves more and more irrelevant.
I remember the “OLD DAYS” when a TV set was 12inches and black and white. The programming was exciting, interesting and informative in a brand new way.
Now my YV is 42”, Glorious color, stereo sound, takes up little room and the picture is so sharp we can’t sit too close to a sword fight.
The describes the TV set. The television “programming” is so atrocious that I’ve outprogrammed ALL of the “network” channels.
History, science, good old movies carry the day.
I can agree with you there. Though this past season was unprecedented in the number gaycentric shows which was more of an example of blatant activism. I dropped the cable tv portion of my comcast bill last month(not because of that). Things may be bad now in some respects related to TV but I think things will get better. The reason being that media is shifting towards a more individualize customer centric model. It will allow some things we don’t like to thrive in their little pockets but we will be able to control even more so what we pay for and what we allow through our media devices.
