The poor pictures I saw of this Fogel guy look remarkably like James Holmes, the Aurora shooter. Even the stare. You reckon the government sent him to Moscow?

Supposedly, he was to deliver a letter, which he was carrying around in his pocket.

The letter, written in Russian and addressed "Dear friend," offers $100,000 to "discuss your experience, expertise and cooperation" and up to $1 million a year for long-term cooperation. The letter also includes instructions for opening a Gmail account to be used for communication and an address to write. It is signed "Your friends."

I wonder if he was in an Aston Martin at the time.

Sure, looks like CIA is into an affirmative action too, this time a job comes to an alternatively gifted.

Agents work under a contract for a limited time, officers are employed directly by the agency. A spy can fit into either category.

” I wonder if he was in an Aston Martin at the time.”

If he was his name would have been Jamie Bond. Where did he get the cheezy disguise Ebay? Wigs and a compass? Probably to dumb to memorize street names. I guess DHS got all the good stuff. The recruitment letter reads like a mail solicitation from a Nigerian prince. I do thank the “company” for confirming that they monitor Gmail. LOL

It doesn’t sound right somehow. Maybe it’s true, but it sounds more like someone pretending to be a double-naught spy.

They say he was covered as a third secretary of US embassy and ambassador McFaul denied comments. McFaul had to speak if Ryan wasn’t either a secretary or a CIA officer.

To clarify: he was a Foreign Intelligence Service operations officer.
