From the commentary: As the IRS controversy over targeting The Tea Party grew even more troublesome over the weekend, Barack Obama and the Democrats were nowhere to be found. No statements. No Comments. No condemnation...Unlike the Benghazi scandal, which the mainstream media virtually ignored for eight months, the IRS controversy already has a few liberal commentators riled up. One of them is NBCs Chuck Todd: I have to say though, Tom (Brokaw), that he (Obama) had a chance Friday afternoon
he had a healthcare event about 3:30 or 4:00 in the afternoon. He had an opportunity to say something. I think they let Jay Carneys words speak; I thought they were very weak; it didnt seem like they had a sense of urgency about it a real sense of outrage. And then look at the reaction of the entire Democratic Party
Why arent there more Democrats jumping on this? This is outrageous no matter what political party you are

This assclown Todd cannot be serious. The IRS is the thumb of big government, and therefore, the Democrats' mob enforcer. It's primary mission is not to collect the money - - although that's obviously an important part of funding big government socialism. No, the primary mission of the IRS is to remind American citizens on a relentless, ongoing basis that they must bow down before government. Play ball with the government - - the IRS! - - or you go to jail. Everyone must comply.

ROSE: I don't know what Barack Obama’s worldview is.
BROKAW: No, I don't, either.
ROSE: I don't know how he really sees where China is.
BROKAW: We don't know a lot about Barack Obama and the universe of his thinking about foreign policy.
ROSE: I don't really know. And do we know anything about the people who are advising him?
BROKAW: Yeah, it's an interesting question.
ROSE: He is principally known through his autobiography and through very aspirational (sic) speeches.
BROKAW: Two of them! I don't know what books he's read.
ROSE: What do we know about the heroes of Barack Obama?
BROKAW: There's a lot about him we don't know.

They’ve learned their lesson. They used to try to answer things, now the left has learned to never, ever mention anything related to any scandal. Unlike the Republicans, the press will be complicit by mentioning nothing also.
I’ve noticed the pattern, ignore, ignore, ignore. The MSM will back them up, and most people who don’t watch Fox will never know anything about it.
The same courtesy does not extend to the right. A small word out of place, and it will get front page headlines for days, even when it is nothing.

The IRS is a good bogeyman for a scandal. There is a direct link between every taxpayer and the IRS. Even low information voters understand the type of hassle the IRS can bring to your world. The Admin will begin distancing themselves from this soon I suspect. Let’s hope we have a few pitbulls that won’t let it go. Perhaps we can even count some MSM pudnuts among those seeking justice.

I watched the Carney press conference last Friday, and saw what may have been the biggest jaw dropper I have ever seen in WH presser..... Carney actally blamed Romney for Benghazi. A true Hall of Fame WTF moment.

ALL of these stories have “legs” Chuck. This administration has been corrupt since the 2008 election. You helped create the monster, now you can go down with the ship. Because it IS going down.

I did hear a sound bite from Harry Reid on the radio this morning, a weak rebuke of the IRS. But in fairness, everything Harry Reid says is weak.

It must be a shock to these journ”O”lists to have their ideologue protective bubbles pierced by truth and the echo chambers they work in become sound proof rooms....

I think this story has more legs politically in 2014 than Benghazi. - F. Chuck Todd
To those of you who thought that the IRS scandal might be a smokescreen for Benghazi...you may be right.
