I use Bing.

When it's something that might raise a flag with a particularly paranoid government, I use Startpage. Startpage still goes through google, but it blocks tracking.

I use Bing too. Thanks for the info re Startpage. I'll try it out.

Of course, as experience dictates, I'll continue to assume that the right-to-privacy does not mean actual privacy.
