We did this already. We set up the nation of Liberia. It was colonized with freed slaves.
I am just not clear where reparations ends. We gave them 40 acres and a mule. Set up Liberia after the Civil War. Obviously, none of the African Americans were never slave. They get welfare if they need it, and entitled to the same education as everyone else. It we cut a check to all African Americans, I am certain that the next generation would want one too, and so on and so forth.
They would find themselves working in a Diamond mine for meager amounts of food, they is when they are not fighting a diamond war.

The French solution to all of this has been the typical slimy French autocratic solution: pour money into social programs, appoint non-whites (africans and creoles mainly) to political jobs, give them preferences in jobs (affirmative action, er, discrimination), but never give them real power over mainland French.
The aristocracy maintains its power...but in the shadows.
Hollande will end up caving on this. The simple reason is that the Socialists have played with fire by pandering to the islanders and the North Africans (Arab Algerians). But they never planned to give them real power in France because even the French Socialists won't go for that (at least not the rank and file). So now they are getting called out - and they will have to pony up.
Cynically using one group without actually giving them power has its risks.
Just ask the Clintons. Or the Republican party, when it comes to Evangelicals and Social Conservatives in general.
What Taubira and the corrupt black "leaders" want is control of the tourist industries in the Islands and effective control over the Guiana Space Center in Kourou (CSG). In this way they will have serious control of major French assets, and be able to dictate money flows from France.

If it were possible to do a one-time, never again settlement with voluntary physical separation and relinquishment of all future claims, it might work.

A land swap would be very very painful, and most would see it as absurd. But when you consider how much things have deteriorated since it was first proposed by Stokely Carmichael and the NoI people, it looks better than it did the first time it was discussed.
Given that these are small islands, there may not be that much property to divide up, and there would be far too many potential claimants for anybody to get very much, all the more so given that it would be foolish to split up profitable resorts or turn them over to smallholders.
There is and always will be a never-ending demand for free stuff. It’s eternal.
So, does she plan to return all blacks to Africa? Is she the new Marcus Garvey?
Thanks. I was bating those that didn’t know. ALL African nations have turned into turd-world nations. There isn’t a single black managed country that hasn’t.
