It would be possible for any of the Bishops of the Dioceses of the United States to make a passionate plea to the Pope to intervene or at least comment on this (the Pope commenting on this would bring shame on BC).
If Pope Francis hears about the Boston College affair at a later date without having been informed, there will be hell to pay.
