That is obvious as is leaving the Embassy open after every other country left. That said, we had enough firepower to disperse that crowd in the area. Many reports initially said we had a C-130 circling and is why Thomas? was painting the targets.

The bottom line is we had the forces and need to know who told them to stand down?

Benghazi was a diplomatic mission. Our embassy was in Tripoli.

The only aircraft over Benghazi was an unmanned drone, which was replaced with another one after the first one went low on fuel. There was no C-130 circling over Benghazi. Supposedly, none were available. We need more info on what assets were available. I wonder why just Aviano AFB was cited as a possible supplier of air support. I thought we had some assets available in Kuwait and perhaps Saudi Arabia.

I agree forces should have been sent regardless. We had no way of knowing how long the attack would last. We had wounded and dead plus over 30 people on the ground awaiting evacuation from Benghazi.

Only Obama can do that. “Debate” about this is preposterous.
