Well, I guess the doctors read the “you have to pass the bill to see what’s in it”, and decided to take action.

Unintended consequences anyone???

Are you sure the consequences were unintended?

I have been seeing my local internist for almost six years now at a reduced fee for cash. No paper, no electronic medical records, it’s been great.

Our local Walgreen’s has a clinic staffed by PA’s - asks questions, fills in the blank with pt’s answers and out pops the diagnosis and treatment plan. Was there last night because the little one had an ice cream crisis and it’s just right around the corner. At 7 p.m. there were at least 14 people waiting to be seen. They announced they were closing for the day over the PA and suggested that the people go to the nearest emergency room or come back the next morning at 9 a.m. Welcome to the new standard of medical care.

I wouldn’t be surprised if the concierge docs in the future are subjected to: Denial of state licensure, no prescriptions filled if written by a doctor on the “not Obamacare approved list”, hospital stays for their patients would not be approved, lab tests would not be performed by outside labs, etc.

Obama and Sect. Sillybus are not going to allow this amount of independence.
