A nationwide ammunition shortage has police departments across the country counting their bullets. It's no different in Proctor, where the Chief says he was told he'd have to wait months, even a year to get more ammo.

If would really depend on the department’s history as to dealing with the public.

They carry .40cal Glocks around here; I hate that round, and of my 7 calibers and 360k rounds and 1 ga, don’t have it. SOL, guys; sorry.

They knew about the grab and should have prepared. Send a check to Big sis and demand some ammo! She seems to be the new supplier!
I am not parting with my ammo unless the bullets are headed down range at a target. If it is at a target range I will police my casings also.
There was once a time when it would be perfectly natural for citizens to help them out. These days, they’d better just ask their stormtrooper buddies.

No, I’d be suspicious they were trying to deplete my supply in order to make it easier for them to confiscate my guns later. It isn’t as if government hasn’t been known to do that. If police are out of ammo, me and my loved ones will take care of my own security, thank you very much.

On second thought, I will be willing to send them a box of pop tarts. They can bite them into whatever caliber they wish.
I’d loan em some, but I don’t think they need any .41rf or .577/450 ammo.
