“off the record briefing” - so a private, secret meeting with the press. Literally, the press is having a strategy session with the White House on how to counteract the negative light this shines on the administration.

We have no free press - they are voluntarily doing the bidding of the government as loyal Democrat party activists.

It’ll be interesting to see how the reporters report after this....watch the body language too.

It should be interestng, and it was definitely pretty brazen to hold any sort of off-the-record meeting between the WH and the lap dog media at this point.

Rush mentioned a press briefing that was supposed to take place at first, I think, 1:45 eastern, and then later, that still hadn't taken place. Maybe the same gathering that turned out to be off-the-record.

I get the feeling that they are setting this up so that they will admit to a cover up but that they had a good reason to do it. They are going to claim that the cover up was necessary as part of some national security issue that they can’t talk about because it involves sensitive national security issues (like gun running to the terrorists).

They called the press together to try to sell them on the idea so they will all be on the same page when the SHTF. .
