There is a lot of pressure on both Dems and Republicans from brick and mortar stores to force online outfits to charge sales tax.

But the online outfits in their states already do. Do the brick and mortar stores charge the sales taxes of the jurisdiction where all of their customers shop?

And of course local and state governments are greedy for the money.

Nearly every state with a sales tax has a mechanism by which they can collect sales tax on out of state purchases made by their residents.

I’m against this internet sales tax crap, I’m just saying there are a lot of supposed conservatives that are for it.
