Never said WBAP was hurting, but Mark did take listeners with him. I was a long time listener to WBAP and Mark Davis.
WBAP is still programmed on my car radio, but I simply don’t often listen to them anymore. But the coverage area on WBAP is larger than KSKY (Salem Communications)
Do not find him egotistical. The Money? Don’t know about that.
I don’t like Cumulus.
I listened to Mark Davis for many years. He had the drive time in the morning, as I am sure you already know. At one time I really liked to listen to him.
But then he bled over to the morning show and nearly ruined it, started hosting for Rush, got gigs on Fox and became an unbeleivable bore. Not to mention his very short stint at a national show.
At one point he called a 13 year old girl a tart and a trollop, yeah she did wrong...but it was a little strong. When people called in...he denied it. Dude...it’s on tape.
The only talking head I listen to is Levin..and not even on a regular basis.
I wish I could say Cumulus is worse than any other station..but I doubt that they are. :)
