A perfect example would be Chris Mathews. He may talk fast and is bombastic, but when you break down what he says there is no real intelligence there. He is a bully and a name caller who passes himself off as an intellectual and by the liberal establishment’s definition he is. If you make fun of or laugh at other people and call them names it makes you appear to be more intelligent than them. This is the primary formula for the establishmedia.

When you look at the liberal political landscape you find even less intelligence. Can anybody say Pelosi or Reid is intelligent? Once again we have people who follow the formula of calling names and using corruption to make it into the highest levels of gummit and mess things up. They both basically sound like morons but they don’t have to worry since they are part of the liberal establishment and the Three Pillars (academia, media and the DNC) will promote their agenda without questions.

I had a Cap Hill press pass back in the days Matthews worked as a staffer and he was pretty typical even back then—he was only really good at spin and half-truths, and really had no discernible intelligence. He’d never done anything in life, which is also typical on the Hill, where NETWORKING is everything and substance is MIA.

The “smart” people on the Hill are the lobbyists who write all the laws and even the arguments for the laws. If you picture a criminal hierarchy where the “brains” of the operation figure out how the heist can be pulled off but then shift all the risk to dimwitted henchmen who will take the fall if something goes wrong you’ll have an accurate picture of how things work in Congress.

Also, there is a staggering amount of shadowy, semi-illicit sex going on up there but who’s watching?

That is a developed tactic. It even happens here on FR, especially during election cycles or heated legislation events. Those who use the tactic do so because they are unable to defend their positions in discussions. They don't have facts or knowledge, so they bully and become belligerent.

They are easy to spot. On FR, for example, they attack other posters (making it personal) rather than attacking the content of posts. Many of them are very adept at using the alinskyest tactics.

The tactic is especially used by the community organizer types, the progressives, the Liberals, and those pushing PC agenda issues.

Great insight Bob.

It is the guys in the background who really call the shots. Even in the administration its valjar who runs the govt., the bent axel political strategy and plouffe, jay carney and others in charge of cleaning up the damage.

Zero remains a front man who fund raises, campaigns, plays golf, with Reggie, basketball and goes on vacations with his supposed wife.
