It's quite simple. I'd say these are the main reasons:
1. ALL women find strong, confident, smooth-talking men to be attractive. Psychopaths and confidence men are good at lying and appear to be chock full of those attractive traits.
2. Drama = Excitement. Some women would rather have a guy who yells at them daily than a respectful guy who barely speaks. Just like some men prefer a dangerous, violent (but exciting) career rather than a safe desk job.
3. Women want a challenge, just like men. “Taming” a guy to them is like building a hot-rod is to us. Social events to them are almost like car shows to us. They show off their man to other women, just like we show off our rides to other men. The more difficult the “build” was, the more it boosts our ego.
I’m old enough to remember the Patty Hearst kidnapping. She ‘joined’ her captors and ended up spending time in prison. The American public was not going to let her get away with it even though she could have very well been scared to death the whole time. The American public wanted someone to blame the entire turbulence of the 60’s on and she was a convenient target. Her fathers’ newspaper empire beat the war drums throughout the 20th century and others paid the price: think(one example) the incarceration of Japanese AMERICANS. This YOUNG lady could have very well be brainwashed; think Stockholm syndrome.
