I wouldn't go as far as saying "pain is irrelevant", but I get your point. However, Cindy of Nashville is right saying that many people don't realize that unborn babies 20 weeks and older do feel pain. As a matter of fact, because their nervous systems are not fully developed, they are more sensitive to pain than full term babies.

Several states have passed pain-capable unborn child protection laws. For more information check out the National Right to Life Committee website.

2 weeks - 20 weeks: How do you know at what point pain commences?

And why are you giving credence to this argument, as it begs a grand bargain
with the abortion murderers: OK we'll accept the potential pain of those up to
19 weeks, but that is absolutely our line in the sand.

I do believe that you oppose
abortion, and I know we are on the same team. But I think it an error to attribute aspects
greater in horror to 20-week-olds than you do to any age post-conception.
