States fear loss of health care aid (Feds already shifting the cost back to the states)

Thousands of people with serious medical problems are in danger of losing coverage under President Barack Obama's health care overhaul because of cost overruns, state officials say.

At risk is the Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan, a transition program that's become a lifeline for the so-called "uninsurables" — people with serious medical conditions who can't get coverage elsewhere. The program helps bridge the gap for those patients until next year, when under the new law insurance companies will be required to accept people regardless of their medical problems.

In a letter this week to Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius, state officials said they were "blindsided" and "very disappointed" by a federal proposal they contend would shift the risk for cost overruns to states in the waning days of the program. About 100,000 people are currently covered.

"We are concerned about what will become of our high risk members' access to this decent and affordable coverage," wrote Michael Keough, chairman of the National Association of State Comprehensive Health Insurance Plans. States and local nonprofits administer the program in 27 states, and the federal government runs the remaining plans.

"We fear...catastrophic disruption of coverage for these vulnerable individuals," added Keough, who runs North Carolina's program. He warned of "large-scale enrollee terminations at this critical transition time."

How nice. People were marching on Washington protesting this monstrosity and Pelosi just walked through these crowds with her big d@ck gavel. We screamed these facts for months. What’s CNN’s solution? Have the States raise taxes? Have the Feds raise taxes? Idiots all of them!

One of the earliest criticisms of PCIP was that it was underfunded. This was a known issue before Obamacare ever became law. There was never any doubt in my mind that this was intentional so that part way thru the law’s rollout, when the law would become even more unpopular, they’d have a group of otherwise uninsureable folks to hold up as pawns for propaganda. Shameful.

States rights are near the top of my to do list. The 9th and 10th amendment must be fought for by the states. They are big enough to do this, if we support them!

In order to do this, personal income tax (PIT) must be annihilated, since it _never_ was lawful and it funds the DC monster. PIT has and continues to be the first punch to the jaw of USConstitution. All private moneys from people living within the states must be taxed by the states, only, and then apportioned by District C.

State lawmakers should have threated federal lawmakers with treason for laying taxes for healthcare purposes since the states have never delegated to Congress via the Constitution the specific power to regulate, tax and spend for healthcare purposes. But the problem with state lawmakers is that they evidently don’t understand the federal government’s constitutonally limited powers any than better than the voters who elected them do.

The consequences of “patriots” not making sure that their children are being taught the Constitution as the Founding States had intended for it to be understood is the following where Obamacare is concerned. Regarding “government” healthcare services, the constitutionally clueless states are essentially being forced to beg the corrupt, power-hungry feds for healthcare funds, funds which are essentially state revenues for state healthcare programs which Congress stole from taxpayers in the form of illegal federal taxes.

What a mess! :^(
