Some guy in the line pulled out an AR-15 Pulled it out of WHERE?
I mean - how'd he even get INTO the terminal with an AR?

Good question.
How would he get something like that into a terminal?

The White House may be able to answer that.

Um, walk in? There’s no security until you hit the security line. A collapsed stock AR isn’t that big - one could easily fit in a rollerboard.

Probably in a Gun case. I walked into Oakland Intl. on my way to hunt in Texas, got to the Check in desk, told the gal I had a couple Guns, She said open the case and show her they were unloaded. When I picked the rifle up and opened the bolt, I could hear everyone behind me inhale (or gasp!) They did it again with the revolver, Although I did put a trigger lock on it just for the hell of it before hand. People looked at me like I had a third eye in my forehead.
At the other end in texas, every other piece of luggage going around the bag claim belt was a gun case.

In Texas, an AR-15 is a clothing accessory.

He parked and walked into the terminal. He was in line at security when it went down.
Likely he just had the rifle in a duffel bag...
He fired the rifle up twice, an air Marshall fired at him and missed, then he pulled a pistol and shot himself.
