My bet is that if you drill deep enough ANYWHERE you hit natural gas and/or oil. Are you betting real money? Want to buy some oil leases outside of a sedimentary basin? You can buy oil leases cheap in Hawaii for good reason.

There’s a place in Texas where they drilled deep enough and hit a pocket of molten sulphur ~ so that’s not exactly true in all cases.
