The fact that wimpoid “Cruise” is in it was enough for the wife and I go give the movie a “by”.
As a retired fighter/test type, I always said that the only things that had believable acting in “Top Gun” was the aircraft.
Tom Cruise got a pilot license after Top Gun (I don’t know if the Thetans got one too) and then bought a P-51 so he is a real pilot.
I love Top Gun, watch the beginning, the end and it’s a great movie the middle is the lame part and then finding out Kelly Mcgillis is a lesbo lowers her hot chick quotient in the movie big time.
I think there was more sexual tension between Iceman (Kilmer) and Maverick (Cruise) than with the chick.
The movie was is one of the better sci-fi movies made. Tom turns in a good performance as well as the rest of the cast. The story line is solid (for sci-fi).
Tom Cruise gets a bum rap for being a scientologist that’s way better than being a homosexual pedeophile like Lord of The Ring’s Gandalf (Ian McKellen).
I almost didn’t want to go see it because Morgan Freeman was in it, but since I decided not to see Olympus has fallen I thought it was a fair trade-off. I think Denzel Washington would have been a better actor than Morgan Freeman in this show.
I wish Tyler Perry wrote stories that played to my genre and I wish Denzel Washington played in them cause right off the top of my head, those are the only black american’s in Hollywood that I can think of that I like and appreciate. Neither wears the politics on their shoulders and haven’t polluted their product. I like Wessely Snipes too, but he can’t act.
