Apparently my level of responsibility depends on the issue.
Abortion: “What women do with their own bodies is none of your business.”
Global Warming: “What women do with their own bodies is your fault.”
No, you are confusing two different things. Management 101 says that “There should never be any separation of responsibility from authority.” That is, If you do not have authority to control a situation, you should not be held accountable for what happens there. Common sense.But of course, nobody actually wants responsibility, they only want authority. And so people with power are always trying to slough off the responsibility which should go with it.
So here we are, without power and authority, desperately trying to keep those who do have the power and authority from sloughing off the responsibility onto us.
