What I find remarkable is that even though 0 has made us the laughingstock of the world and squandered every ounce of respect we ever had, both Russia and Saudi Arabia saw fit to warn us of impending terrorist attacks.

Maybe the world is hoping against hope that if/when the U.S. survives 0, maybe then America will get back to normal and return to it's rightful place in the free world.

Not the craziest thing i’ve ever heard. They all dislike us, yes. But sometimes, in sane moments, i think they always knew it was safe to hate us because we were intrinsically good and they knew it. Facing the world’s evils alone is a rough wakeup call. Most of the world knows their kids won’t pick up a rifle and do what ours have proven they will, again and again.

Saudi kids won’t.

That reminds me of the cartoons with Ralph the sheepdog and the coyote (Sam?) who used to punch a time clock and be adversaries for a living, then punch out at the end of their shift and speak to each other as friends.
